Rescued Cow Jagannath Priya ‘Matriarch’ of the Sanctuary

Jagannath Priya’s journey to our sanctuary was marked by trials and tribulations. Once a dairy cow who had surpassed her peak milk production, she faced uncertainties and challenges that often accompany such transitions. However, despite the changes and uncertainties she encountered, her spirit remained unyielding.

Despite her small physical stature, Jagannath Priya possessed a formidable presence that extended far beyond her size. Her leadership was not defined by her dimensions, but rather by the strength of her character and an unwavering determination to safeguard and nurture those under her care.

Though Jagannath Priya carried within her the scars of past traumas, her spirit remained resilient. Initially cautious and hesitant to trust, she approached her new surroundings with a wary eye, her demeanor reflecting the experiences that had shaped her journey. However, as she acclimated to the rhythms of sanctuary life, Jagannath Priya began to shed the layers of fear and uncertainty that had once encased her, emerging as a beacon of strength and resilience within our sanctuary.

While her journey towards healing may be ongoing, Jagannath Priya has found solace within the sanctuary’s embrace—a haven where her leadership is revered, her spirit celebrated, and her well-being safeguarded.

As Jagannath Priya continues to roam the tranquil grounds of our sanctuary, her presence serves as a testament to the notion that true strength knows no bounds. We are honored to share our sanctuary with her.
